Washington, D.C. is a friendly, welcoming, and majestic city. However, this does not begin to describe the magnificence of this Nation’s Capital. Washington, D.C. is a proud symbol of freedom and international friendship.

Most of all RFK Stadium’s parking facilities are available for use on Race-Day morning. Parking is FREE. However, please keep in mind that in anticipation for the record numbers of race participants, we highly recommend riding the metro to the Start Line, which is conveniently located adjecent to the Stadium-Armory Metro stop on the Orange and Blue lines.
The SunTrust National Marathon, CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield National Half Marathon, and National Team Relay encourages athletes and spectators to take Metrorail, to and from the race. This is also the best transportation option for spectators to reach key mile marks along the 26.2 mile course. By visiting www.wmata.com you can carefully plan your travel schedule to get point-to-point by bus and rail.
As one of the world’s most walkable cities, D.C. is easy and welcoming to all runners and spectators who want to explore the city on foot or by metro. The Metro is a great, easy, and convenient way to get around the entire city.
