$75 until December 31 2007, $85 thereafter

Team Rules:

  • The Team Challenge is limited to just the full marathon event.
  • Top 3 score for each team with a maximum of 5 runners on a team.
  • An individual may only be placed on one team.
  • A team must consist of either all male or all female athletes, for men’s and women's teams respectively.
  • No team registration or changes on race day. Any team changes must be submitted on by Friday, March 28, 2008.
  • Teams must have a minimum of three finishers or the team won't be scored.
  • Net time is used to determine all awards.
  • Team finish order will be based on the lowest combined team time.
  • Chip timing will be used for scoring purposes.
  • Ties between two or more teams are resolved by determining which team's third scoring member finished nearest to first place.
  • Official results will be announced upon verification.
  • If you are registered as part of a team you cannot accept an individual award.
  • Awards limited to the 1st place team only.
  • National Marathon Official Running Club Challenge is limited to only those clubs designated by the National Marathon as partners.
  • The Public Safety Challenge is comprised of individuals who are either active or retired police officers or active/retired fire/ems employees. Teams are not limited to the DC area. Co-ed team rules apply to this division.
  • Individuals who compete for open prize may not form a team.

Co-Ed Team Rules:

  • Each team will consist of a maximum of five athletes and must be made up of a maximum of three men and a minimum of two women.
  • For scoring purposes, three athletes will score. The eligible combinations are: 2 males + 1 female, or 1 male + 2 females.
  • Team finish order will be based on the lowest combined team time.
